Skoda has revealed interior details of the upcoming Skoda Epiq, highlighting its new design layout and key features. The electric SUV is scheduled to make its global debut on May 19, 2026, in Zurich.
Skoda Epiq: Interior layout and design approach
Skoda Epiq interior sketches indicate a shift to the brand’s ‘Modern Solid’ design language. The layout follows a horizontal structure instead of a conventional dashboard, with focus on clear placement of controls and ease of use. Ambient lighting elements and an open storage area are part of the cabin layout.

The centre console is free-standing and integrates wireless phone charging. The overall layout is designed to allow simple access to controls for both driver and passenger. Sustainable materials are also expected to be used in select areas.
Skoda Epiq: Features and cabin details
The interior includes a small digital driver display and a central touchscreen infotainment system. Physical buttons for climate control are placed on the centre console. The layout and interface appear similar to that seen in the Volkswagen ID Polo, with which the Epiq shares its platform.
The SUV is expected to offer features such as ambient lighting and wireless charging. It is designed to seat five passengers and is claimed to offer a boot space of 475 litres.
Skoda Epiq: Exterior highlights
The exterior design follows the concept shown earlier. It features a closed front section referred to as a ‘Tech Deck’ face, along with T-shaped LED daytime running lights that also function as indicators. The headlamps are positioned below the DRLs.
The side profile includes black cladding around the wheel arches and lower body. At the rear, the vehicle gets T-shaped tail-lamps and a roof-mounted spoiler. The overall length is expected to be around 4.1 metres.
Skoda Epiq: Platform and range expectations
The Epiq is based on the MEB+ platform, which it shares with the Volkswagen ID Polo. While full specifications are yet to be disclosed, the model is expected to use battery options similar to its platform sibling. Skoda has indicated a claimed driving range of up to 425 km. Powertrain details have not been confirmed yet.
Positioning and global debut
The Epiq will be positioned as the smallest electric SUV in Skoda’s lineup, below the Skoda Elroq. It is part of the Volkswagen Group’s entry-level electric vehicle strategy for urban markets. The global debut is scheduled to take place in Zurich at 2 p.m. on May 19, 2026.
Expected competition
If introduced in India, the Epiq could compete with models such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, Maruti e Vitara and Tata Curvv EV.
Elctrik Speaks
The Epiq adds to Skoda’s planned expansion of its electric vehicle portfolio. Its positioning in the entry-level segment indicates focus on wider adoption of electric mobility in urban markets.
