Ather Energy reported that cumulative sales of the Rizta electric scooter have crossed 2.5 lakh units as of March 2026. The model reached this volume within 21 months of its market introduction, indicating consistent uptake in the electric two-wheeler segment.
Ather Rizta: Variants and Pricing
The Rizta is offered in two variants, Rizta S and Rizta Z, with prices starting at Rs 1.17 lakh and Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Both variants share the same platform and core mechanical setup, with differences mainly in features and equipment levels.

Ather Rizta: Powertrain and Performance
Both versions of the Rizta are powered by a motor producing 4.3 kW of peak power and 22 Nm of torque. The top speed is rated at 80 km/h, while acceleration from 0 to 40 km/h is claimed at 4.7 seconds. The scooter uses a PMSM motor with IP66-rated protection, indicating resistance to dust and water ingress at the motor level.
Ather Rizta: Battery and Range
The Rizta is offered with battery options of 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh, with an IDC-certified range of 123 km and 159 km. The battery pack comes with an IPX7 rating for water resistance and is housed in an aluminium casing.
Ather Rizta: Hardware and Underpinnings
In terms of hardware, both variants use a disc brake at the front and a drum brake with CBS at the rear. The suspension setup consists of telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, forming a standard configuration for this segment.
Ather Rizta: Dimensions and Storage
The scooter offers 34 litres of under-seat storage. It has a wheelbase of 128.5 cm, ground clearance of 15 cm, and a seat height of 78 cm. The kerb weight is listed at 125 kg, which remains the same across both variants.
Ather Rizta: Features
Both variants include riding modes such as Zip, Eco and SmartEco, along with features like AutoHold, auto indicator cut-off, and guide-me-home lights. The Rizta Z variant adds features including Magic Twist, SkidControl, and automatic dashboard brightness, which are not available on the Rizta S.
