VinFast has announced the continuation of its free electric vehicle (EV) charging program for customers in India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Under the revised policy, owners of VinFast electric vehicles will be able to use charging stations operated by V-Green without paying charging fees until March 31, 2029. The benefit will apply to both existing customers and new buyers. The program will also cover vehicles used for commercial purposes, including ride-hailing services such as those operating on the Green SM platform.

Additional Incentive for Switching from Petrol Vehicles

Alongside the charging policy, Vingroup has introduced a limited-period scheme called “Trade Gas for Electric.” Under this initiative, customers switching from petrol or diesel vehicles can receive a 3% discount on electric cars and a 5% discount on electric scooters. The offer is valid from March 11, 2026, to March 31, 2026. The scheme will run alongside other incentives available in each market.

Discounts for Electric Taxi Users

Users of Green SM electric taxi services in Indonesia, Laos, and Vietnam will receive a 10% fare discount under a separate program called “GreenForAll.” This offer is also valid between March 11, 2026, and March 31, 2026.

Charging Network Expansion

The charging network operated by V-Green is being expanded across markets where VinFast operates. The company is increasing the number of charging points to support EV users in these regions.

Other EV Support Measures

In addition to charging benefits, VinFast is offering other policies in these markets. These include battery subscription options, resale value assurance, flexible payment plans, and warranty coverage.

Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales, VinFast, stated: “VinFast’s initial free charging policy received strong support from consumers, both in Vietnam and in international markets where VinFast operates. Extending this policy for another three years is the next step in our strategy to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. VinFast believes that when operating costs are optimized to nearly zero, consumers will have greater confidence and motivation to switch to green mobility, while also contributing to the greening of transportation systems in these countries.”
