Tata Motors will launch the Sierra EV in India on June 30. Ahead of its debut, the company has released new teasers revealing several design and feature details of the upcoming electric SUV. The Sierra EV will join Tata Motors' growing electric passenger vehicle lineup and is expected to be positioned between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV.
Tata Sierra EV Teaser Reveals Boost Mode And Range Display
The latest teaser confirms that the Sierra EV will get a Boost Mode, which can be activated using a dedicated button on the centre console. Once engaged, the selected mode is displayed on the driver's digital instrument cluster.

The teaser also shows the battery charged to 80 per cent with an indicated driving range of 424 km. Based on the displayed figures, the Sierra EV could offer a claimed range of around 530 km on a full charge, although Tata Motors has not officially announced the final range.
The company has already confirmed that the Sierra EV will be available with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option. The top variant is expected to feature a dual-motor setup, while the 75 kWh battery pack is likely to be shared with the Harrier EV.
Tata Sierra EV: Interior And Features
The teaser reveals a new black and white cabin theme along with a triple-screen dashboard layout. The setup includes a digital instrument cluster, a central touchscreen infotainment system and a passenger display.
Other features confirmed through the teaser include:
- Panoramic sunroof
- Head-up display (HUD)
- Two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata EV logo
- Multi-level regenerative braking
- Six terrain modes
- Adjustable front headrests
- Auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror (IRVM)
In addition, the Sierra EV is expected to offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, a powered driver's seat with memory function, dual-zone climate control, connected car technology and cruise control.
Tata Sierra EV: Safety Features
While Tata Motors has not announced the complete safety package, the Sierra EV is expected to offer six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto hold, ISOFIX child seat mounts, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps and disc brakes on all four wheels.
The electric SUV is also expected to use a multi-link rear suspension setup.
Tata Sierra EV: Expected Price And Rivals
The Tata Sierra EV is expected to be priced above ₹15 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors may also introduce its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme for the model, although this has not been confirmed.
Once launched, the Sierra EV will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, MG ZS EV, VinFast VF7 and Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella.
