Chery Automobile has patented the Tiggo 7L in India. This development suggests that the model is being considered for the Indian market. The move is part of JSW’s partnership with Chery to introduce select models from the Chinese carmaker’s global portfolio.
Chery Tiggo 7L: Positioning and Dimensions
The Tiggo 7L measures around 4.65 metres in length. It is expected to compete with models such as the Mahindra XUV7XO, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. The SUV is an extended version of the Tiggo 7. It may be offered in 5-, 6-, and 7-seat layouts. However, due to its length, interior space could be different compared to some existing three-row SUVs in the segment.

Electrik Speaks
The patent filing indicates early-stage planning for the Tiggo 7L in India. While specifications and pricing for the Indian market are not confirmed, the model could add another option in the three-row SUV segment. The final positioning will depend on localisation, feature strategy, and pricing at the time of launch.
