During the company’s Q4 FY26 earnings call, Bajaj Auto management hinted at a possible affordable 125cc motorcycle for the domestic market. While responding to analyst queries, Executive Director Rakesh Sharma confirmed that such a product remains “very much in the cards,” though no further specifications or pricing details were shared.
The company stated that it is preparing multiple product updates across the 125cc and 150cc-plus motorcycle categories. According to management, these new motorcycles are expected to reach the market in phases beginning around July 2026.
Focus on 125cc and Sports Motorcycle Segments
Bajaj Auto said growth in the Indian motorcycle market is increasingly being driven by the 125cc-plus category, especially the 150cc-plus segment. The company highlighted that its refreshed Pulsar portfolio has helped improve performance in the sports motorcycle segment during the second half of FY26.

Management also noted that updated Pulsar variants introduced between October 2025 and March 2026 now account for nearly half of Pulsar sales.
Product Launches Planned Ahead of Festive Season
Bajaj Auto said the upcoming launches are being planned ahead of the festive buying season. The company expects continued demand in premium commuter and sports motorcycle categories despite a softer near-term outlook for the overall motorcycle market.
The company, however, did not confirm whether the upcoming affordable 125cc motorcycle would be launched under the Pulsar brand or as part of a separate product line.
Elctrik Speaks
The 125cc motorcycle segment remains one of the largest and most competitive categories in the Indian two-wheeler market. A new affordable offering from Bajaj Auto could help the company strengthen its presence in the commuter motorcycle space while also expanding its reach beyond the premium sports segment.
