Tata Motors will introduce the updated 2026 Tata Tiago EV in India tomorrow alongside the facelifted ICE Tiago hatchback. The updated electric hatchback is expected to bring changes to its design, interior layout and equipment list, while battery and drivetrain revisions could also be part of the update.

2026 Tata Tiago EV: Exterior

The facelifted Tiago EV is expected to feature a redesigned front fascia with updated LED headlamps and eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps. The closed-off front grille continues to distinguish the EV version from the petrol-powered model.

Changes at the front also include a revised bumper design with vertical black inserts placed on both sides. At the rear, the hatchback is likely to get connected-style tail-lamps featuring multiple vertical LED elements linked by a thick connecting strip.

Other exterior updates may include redesigned aerodynamic alloy wheels and a rear spoiler.

2026 Tata Tiago EV: Interior Updates

Inside, the updated Tiago EV is expected to receive a revised dashboard layout with a dual-tone black-and-grey interior theme. Tata Motors may also introduce a floating-style touchscreen infotainment unit and a redesigned digital instrument display.

The centre console layout is likely to be updated, along with the addition of gloss-black trim elements across the cabin.

Expected feature additions include:

  • 360-degree camera
  • Rear AC vents
  • Dual wireless phone chargers
  • Six-speaker audio system
  • 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
  • Powered outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs)
  • Cooled glove box

The updated model is also expected to offer six airbags as standard, replacing the dual-airbag setup available on the outgoing version.

2026 Tata Tiago EV: Battery Pack And Range Expectations

Tata Motors has not revealed the official battery specifications of the updated Tiago EV yet. The current model is available with two battery pack options — 19.2kWh and 24kWh — paired with electric motors producing 61hp and 75hp respectively.

The claimed driving range of the outgoing model stands at 223km for the smaller battery variant and 293km for the larger pack.

The facelifted Tiago EV could receive updated battery technology with improved energy density. Tata may also introduce its newer 6-in-1 electric drivetrain system, which is already seen in newer EV models from the brand.

2026 Tata Tiago EV: Expected Pricing

The current Tata Tiago EV is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 11.14 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices for the updated model are expected to see a marginal increase due to the additional equipment and design updates. The Tiago EV will continue to compete with the MG Comet EV and the Citroen eC3 in the Indian electric hatchback segment.
